As with many fruits and vegetables with seeds, lectins in okra have inhibitory effects on various cancer cell activities, including decreasing blood vessel growth to tumors, slowing cancer cells dividing into multiple cells, and causing cancer cell death. In several laboratory cell studies, researchers found that okra lectins inhibit #breastcancer #glioblastoma #livercancer and #cervicalcancer cell growth.
