Retired US Air Force Major Thomas Havlin has been spearheading an investigation into the widespread appearance of unusual white fibrous clots and microclots found in both deceased and living individuals across America. Embalmers nationwide have been encountering these previously unseen formations in corpses, a phenomenon Havlin has been tracking for approximately five years.
The discovery of these clots reportedly began with a few embalmers during the COVID-19 pandemic, but "exploded" in prevalence starting in 2021, coinciding with the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines. Havlin recently presented his findings at the Tennessee Funeral Directors Association's annual conference in June 2025.
A survey conducted there revealed significant findings:
•Of 28 embalmers present who took a paper survey, 18 (64%) reported seeing the white fibrous clots.
•On average, embalmers are finding these clots in 17% of the bodies they embalm, meaning approximately one out of every six corpses contains these unusual formations.
•Additionally, about 70% of embalmers and funeral directors are still observing "microclots," which they describe as looking like coffee grounds or dirty blood in the draining fluid. These microclots are also found in roughly 17% of corpses.
•Embalmers with 20 to 30 years of experience confirmed they had never encountered the white fibrous clots prior to the COVID years, noting their explosive appearance from 2021 onwards. The microclotting phenomenon has also at least tripled compared to pre-COVID levels.
Havlin emphasizes that this marks the first time there has been official acknowledgment from a United States state funeral director association that these clots are indeed occurring and are highly prevalent.
The nature of these clots is distinct from historically known blood clots. Havlin notes that these white fibrous clots are not documented in old pathology books prior to 2020. While a "white clot syndrome" existed in the late 1980s and early 1990s linked to Heparin, that condition was sulfur-based. In contrast, Havlin and his collaborators believe the current clots are phosphorus-based.
The proposed mechanism for the formation of these clots involves the spike protein, derived from either the COVID-19 virus or the COVID-19 vaccine. It is hypothesized that phospholipid nanoparticles and the spike protein become "phosphorylated" and bind with the body's natural blood clotting protein, fibrinogen. Normally, fibrinogen converts into smooth, spaghetti-like fibrin to form a temporary clot at an injury site, which is later dissolved by an enzyme called plasmin. However, when fibrinogen interacts with the spike protein, it becomes twisted, misfolded, and develops "nasty nodules," making it difficult for plasmin to break down the clot. This leads to the clot growing and persisting, forming the large white fibrous structures observed.
Evidence supporting this mechanism includes both macroscopic visual proof (e.g., a 5.5-inch clot found in an abdominal aorta) and microscopic analysis. Neuroscientist Dr. Kevin McCarron in Japan, after examining thin slices of these clots under a scanning electron microscope at 5,000x magnification, observed the twisted, misfolded fibrin with nodules, consistent with fibrin altered by the spike protein. This microscopic and macroscopic evidence suggests the spike protein is causing "tremendous damage to the vascular system".
The presence of these clots raises serious concerns about the health of living individuals, with experts believing they are contributing to strokes and heart attacks. Unfortunately, once these white fibrous clots have formed, there is currently no known way to dissolve or remove them using traditional clot-busting drugs like tissue plasminogen activator (tPA), which are effective against conventional clots but have "no effect at all" on these white fibrous ones. Some medical professionals, such as a "cath lab whistleblower" in Jacksonville, Florida, have resorted to physically removing these clots from living patients using flexible catheters to scrape, suck, or lasso them out.
Given the difficulty in removing formed clots, the focus shifts to prevention. Dr. Peter McCullough suggests that natural supplements like nattokinase, bromelain, and curcumin may help detoxify the body from the spike protein to prevent these clots from forming in the first place.
Thomas Havlin, along with others like Dr. Ruby and Mike Adams, has been relentlessly working to bring this issue to public attention. He hopes that significant figures, including the Trump administration, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, and Dr. Marty Makary, will take up the investigation, effectively "relieving" him of his self-appointed duty. Havlin asserts that the "overwhelming" evidence and the "very, very suspicious" timing with the COVID-19 vaccine introduction warrant urgent official investigation. His recent live appearance on YouTube, a platform previously seen as censoring such discussions, is viewed as a positive sign that awareness is finally breaking through.
