Dr Aunna Herbst authored “Functional Medicine in Primary Care”  to help healthcare professionals incorporate personalized medicine into their practice. Her goal: To empower patients to be more active in their healthcare.

Dr H’s mantra?  “I believe root cause investigation for preventive wellness and chronic disease management is the future of medicine.”

Prior to attending medical school Dr Aunna was a business of lifestyle counselor specializing in nutritional recommendations and naturopathic medicine.

After residency Dr Herbst practiced family/functional medicine in rural America.  Then her life changed dramatically as she was one of the founding physicians at Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine.

Dr. Aunna is the proud mother of two, 29 and 26 years. She enjoys yoga, outdoor activities such as kayaking and hiking.
