Fresh from a starring role at AOSIM’s recent Congress of Medical Excellence 5.0, Dr Bill Andrews, a molecular biologist and biogerontologist, is best known as the founder, President, and CEO of Sierra Sciences, a company dedicated to extending human lifespan and healthspan through telomere research.
Dr. Bill earned his Ph.D. in Molecular and Population Genetics from the University of Georgia in 1981 and has held key research roles at several biotech firms, including Geron Corporation, where he led the team that identified the RNA and protein components of human telomerase.
Dr. Andrews is a principal discoverer of telomerase, a key enzyme in aging, and hwas awarded second place as National Inventor of the Year for his cancer research. He is named on over 50 U.S. patents and authored numerous scientific papers in the field of aging and telomere biology.
