Menopause and Vasomotor Symptoms: Therapeutic Options

December 16, 2025 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm EST
Dr. Felice Gersh

Dr. Felice Gersh received my medical degree from the USC School of Medicine, I studied Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Kaiser Hospital in Los Angeles, where I was honored with the CREOG top resident award every year.

After graduating, I launched my private practice, founded on my passionate belief in holistic women’s healthcare. From the earliest years, way back before alternative medicine was popular, my practice included acupuncture, massage, and Chinese medicine.

About twelve years ago, I pursued my interest in holistic healing and graduated from the Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona to become one of the first dual board-certified Integrative Gynecologists in the United States.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Assess vasomotor symptom burden (frequency, severity, sleep disruption), identify common mimics/red flags, and classify patients into hormone-eligible versus nonhormone-first treatment pathways.
  2. Prescribe evidence-based menopausal hormone therapy for moderate–severe vasomotor symptoms by selecting regimen, route, and endometrial protection appropriate to uterus status and individualized risk profile.
  3. Integrate nonhormonal pharmacologic options (including NK-pathway agents and other guideline-supported therapies) and monitor treatment response and safety using a standardized follow-up plan.
