November 10 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm EST
< Back Lieutenant Colonel Kamal S. Kalsi, D.O., FACEP

This week’s CME speaker, Lieutenant Colonel Kamal S. Kalsi, D.O., FACEP, is a trailblazing Sikh American physician and U.S. Army officer whose remarkable career embodies service, innovation, and advocacy for diversity.

As the 2025 APAICS Civic Engagement Award recipient, Dr. Kalsi made history in 2009 by becoming the first Sikh in generations to secure a religious accommodation to serve openly in the military while maintaining his turban and beard, paving the way for greater inclusion of religious minorities in the armed forces.

With over two decades of emergency medicine experience, including deployments to Afghanistan where he led field hospitals, he now serves as Chief Medical Officer at Victory Medical Institute, pioneering regenerative treatments using stem cells, peptides, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

A former White House Commissioner on Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander affairs, Dr. Kalsi has tirelessly combated xenophobia, promoted equity, and influenced veterans’ policies, making him an inspiring voice on leadership, resilience, and community impact.
