Mitochondria

October 13, 2023 @ 7:00 am - October 14, 2023 @ 5:00 pm UTC+0

Advances in mitochondrial testing and metabolomics have given scientists a new lens for studying health and disease. With more than 60% of adults and 30% of children and teens in the United States now living with a chronic illness, there is a critical need for new clinical solutions.

This conference will cover exciting new research in mitochondrial medicine and cellular healing to better resolve chronic disease states. It will focus on three fundamental features that are the hallmarks of disease progression and aging:

  • A decrease in physiologic resilience
  • A decline in metabolic reserve capacity
  • A decay in mitochondria and the functional communication between cells and organ systems

Decline in these areas limit the rate of healing after new and recurring cellular injuries, resulting in incomplete healing, chronic disease, and accelerated aging. With this new paradigm, clinicians will learn new therapeutic strategies to address the mitochondrial and metabolic dysfunctions driving chronic disease.
